Application Fee
A one time, non-refundable U.S. $25.00 application fee. In an effort to provide better service to those who desire to use credit cards, the university has installed a secure server which functions to encrypt credit card numbers during transmission. Although the university cannot guarantee the security of the credit card number, the encryption process is the current standard for web financial transactions. IWU accepts transaction via fax, phone, mail, or this online service. The decision is yours to make. We're here to serve you in the way you find most convenient.
Request for Transcripts
An official transcript from each college you attended should be mailed directly from that college to Indiana Wesleyan University. Transcript request forms* have been provided. Print as many copies as you need and submit one directly to each institution in the manner they prescribe with the appropriate fee (contact the school for the required amount). Official transcripts must exhibit the official seal and signature of the issuer's registrar. Transcripts that are stamped "student copy," "issued to student," or "unofficial" will not be accepted as official.
Transcripts from Non-U.S. Schools
Secure a "Course-by-Course Report" from the Commission on Graduates of Foreign Nursing Schools (CGFNS), http://www.cgfns.org/. We will also accept a Course-by-Course Report" from Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE), http:/www.ece.org. Please be sure to request that either CGFNS or ECE send the report directly to us at the address given above
Licensure Information
A copy of a current, valid, unencumbered RN license or equivalent documentation (such as listing on a state licensing board web site) should be faxed or mailed to your admissions representative as evidence that you meet the licensure requirements.
English as Second Language
For those for whom English is a second language, submit scores from the TOEFL. A minimum TOEFL score of 550 (CBT=213 or Internet Score=79) is required for acceptance into all IWU degree, certificate, and licensure programs unless otherwise specifically noted.
Notice of Non-Discriminatory Policy as to Students:
Indiana Wesleyan University admits students of any race, color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and activities generally accorded or made available to the students at the school. It does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national and ethnic origin in administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, scholarship and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered programs. Indiana Wesleyan is committed to compliance with the Title IX of the Federal Education amendments of 1972, except as claimed in a filed religious exemption.
Once the application fee and all official transcripts have been received, your records will be evaluated and you will receive notice of your admission status from Student Services.
When it is determined that you qualify for admission, you will be contacted regarding classes.
